Classic rock got the choir treatment as the Kamloops Rock Choir took to the stage for its debut concert at Sagebrush Theatre on Sunday, September 27.
Backed by a live band, the community choir brought together powerful group vocals, guitars and drums for an evening celebrating some of rock music’s most recognizable hits.
The accompanying video captures two moments from the performance, featuring the choir’s renditions of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Fortunate Son and AC/DC’s Back in Black.
The concert marked the group’s first public performance and brought local singers together to share their love of rock music with a Kamloops audience.
More than just a night of entertainment, the debut concert also supported a local cause, with proceeds going to the Mount Paul Community Food Centre, which provides food access, community meals and other support programs for Kamloops residents.
Watch the video for a glimpse of what happens when classic rock meets a room full of voices and a live band.
