Get ready for a fun afternoon of crafts and creativity as the Kelowna Downtown Library is collecting donations for a Craft Supply Swap on October 10 from 11 am to 2 pm. Locals who might have some extra crafting supplies lying around or may have purchased too much fabric for a project they started can help the community and drop off their unused or lightly used materials, tools, and anything extra they might no longer need for their hobbies and crafts.
Threads, fabrics, scissors, glue, paints, dyes, paper, glitter, pens, pencils, crayons, and whatever you can associate with a hobby or craft are welcome, but just make sure they’re clean and presentable to be used by someone else. Specific tools and materials to help you get started can be donated until October 8th at the Library.

This event is a great opportunity for those who are looking to start something new this fall or winter, and people experienced with the crafts will also be in attendance to ask questions and learn more about those particular hobbies and their methods.
If you have kids who like to draw, or maybe want to host a fun social evening with friends, or even get some inspiration and ideas for Halloween costumes this year or help with your spooky-themed party, you might find some great things at the supply swap to get you started in the right direction.
While the event is free and open to the public, you can get an earlier entrance ticket for 10 am if you donate on or before October 8. This will give you a chance to find some neat things before others find them when the doors open at 11 am. The supply swap will take place in the Great Room at the Library, and parking will be available at the Library Parkade.
