Stunning acrobatics and breathtaking aerial acts arrive in Kelowna for Cirque de France

Kelowna audiences can experience the excitement of a traditional circus as Le Cirque de France brings its GRAVITY production to City Park from Thursday, October 15, to Sunday, October 18. The travelling circus just wrapped up its Kamloops performances and is heading to Kelowna’s City Park, offering 10 family-friendly shows featuring acrobatics, aerial performances, comedy, and high-energy stunts.

Cirque de France brings together performers from around the world, with acts including aerial silks, tight-wire artistry, contortionists, and comical clowns. The show also features freestyle motocross performing daring stunts inside the tent, adding a high-adrenaline element to the traditional circus experience. The show describes its production as entirely animal-free, with the performances focused on human skill and athleticism.

The show features Desire Cardinali Chaves, a seventh-generation performer of Portugal’s Cardinali circus family, who grew up in the ring as did her mother and grandmother. She is a contortionist, hand balancer, and aerialist from Portugal. She continues the family tradition all over the world and has performed for a number of different circus acts. Geoffrey Berhault is a second-generation circus performer with a background in dance, theater, and acrobatics. His specialty is the tightwire, where he combines dance, jumps, and flips on a 10mm cable
