The Rayleigh Fall Night Market is a wrap, and what a night it was.
More than 30 local vendors filled the Rayleigh Elementary gym on Friday, and the room turned into something better than a market: neighbours bumping into neighbours, makers meeting the people who’ll actually use what they make, and a lot of “where did you get that?” conversations.
Handmade crafts, seasonal decorations, gifts you won’t find in a big-box aisle, all under one roof and out of the autumn weather. Free to walk in, no ticket, no rush. Just three hours of browsing at your own pace.
The part that stays with you isn’t the shopping. It’s watching a small business owner light up when someone picks up their work and asks how it’s made. That’s what a market like this is really for, and Rayleigh showed up for it.
The event was organized by Happy Occasions Kamloops.
