Vacherot to meet Lehecka in the Swiss Indoors tennis final

BASEL, Switzerland (AP) — Valentin Vacherot reached his first final of 2026, and the second of his career, by beating sixth-seeded Taylor Fritz of the United States 7-6 (5), 6-3 at the Swiss Indoors on Saturday.

Vacherot, who represents Monaco, won the Shanghai Masters last year in his only other title match.

On Sunday, he will play Jiri Lehecka for the trophy after the eighth-seeded Czech defeated Jan-Lennard Struff of Germany 3-6, 7-5, 6-4. Struff eliminated Novak Djokovic on Thursday.
