PERTH — The world junior mixed doubles curling championship will return to Edmonton this spring, World Curling said Tuesday.
The May 3-9 competition will be held at the Saville Community Sports Centre. It’s the third straight year that the venue will host the event.
“The importance of this event to our junior curlers can’t be overstated,” World Curling head of competitions Eeva Rothlisberger said in a statement. “The previous two events were huge successes and we’re thrilled to be returning to Edmonton to work with a fantastic local organizing committee once again.”
The open-entry event features junior mixed doubles teams from World Curling’s member associations.
Canada’s Brooklyn Ideson and Owen Henry of Ilderton, Ont., took silver at the 2026 event after dropping a 6-5 decision to Japan’s Yuina Miura and Kaito Fujii in the final.
