Lakeside home in the cards after Merritt man’s 200K lotto win

A Merritt man scored a $200,000 Keno draw win and he plans to put the winnings toward a new lakeside property.

After the draw, Arnold Gray ran around the house "like a 12-year-old kid," he said in a BC Lottery Corporation news release.

Gray's ticket, purchased at the Merritt Canco, will go toward a new paddleboard and a few things for his kids, in addition to the new lakeside property.

"They couldn't believe it – they thought I was kidding," Gray said of his family's reaction to the news.

Gray discovered his winnings by using the BCLC app after the draw on June 14.
