The City of Kelowna will be removing the long hillside slide at Quilchena Park on Tuesday, March 18.
The slide is scheduled to be replaced this year and the old slide will be removed for safety considerations.
Families will still be able to safely enjoy the other play structures at the park, including the water park when it opens for the season May 17.
The new slide and safety surfacing will be installed later this summer.
