
Penticton poet’s bullying video goes viral with 2.5M views

A Penticton poet's video of a poem about bullying has been viewed more than two million times.
Shane Koyczan posted his animated video, To This Day, on YouTube on Feb. 19 and it has 2.5 million views as of today.
The video tells the story of his own experience being bullied in school, as well as the narratives of two other victims.
Earlier he put out a call for animators to help him with this project which was quickly answered.
Koyczan performed at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, where he read his poem, We Are More, to more than one billion viewers.
He has already published three works of fiction, Visiting Hours, Stickboy and Our Deathbeds Will Be Thirsty. Last year Koyczan released his first full length album with his band, Shane Koyczan and the Short Story Long, which includes, To This Day.
