
4 news deaths in Interior Health as COVID case numbers climb again
There have been 10 deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in British Columbia with four of those in the Interior Health region, bringing the provincial death toll to 2,147.
This comes on a day when the slowly falling daily case numbers climbed back above 100 to 108 in the Interior Health region, according to a Ministry of Health news release issued today, Oct. 28.
There were 758 new cases in the province as a whole, the highest single daily count this month.
The Fraser Health region saw the greatest share of those new cases with 329. There were 133 in the Northern Health region, 114 on Vancouver Island and 74 in Vancouver Coastal.

There are now 4,961 active cases in B.C. with 434 people in hospital, 155 of whom are in intensive care units.
The vaccination rate for those 12 and older is 89.8% with at least one dose and 84.9% who have two doses.
