ENDERBY – The investigation into a suspicious fire at the Sleep Right Inn appears to have stalled.
The blaze broke out in the 600 block of King Avenue March 22 following a report to RCMP of a disturbance.
The woman living in the ground floor unit suffered some burns to her hand. Her dog died in the fire.
The officers investigating the fire are asking for the public’s help.
Anyone who was in and around the area between 5:45 and 6:30 a.m. are asked to call police. Any information, no matter how insignificant it might seem, could help with the case.
RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk is also hoping anyone who knows who is responsible for causing the fire will call the Enderby 250-838-6818 or Vernon 250-545-7171 detachments, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
