WEST KELOWNA – Those living on Westbank First Nation land in West Kelowna will have to pay a little more in property taxes this year.

WFN council approved the budget Monday, which will mean an increase of $23, or 1.4 per cent, in property tax per average household.

There are close to 4000 residents currently living on WFN lands as well as 105 businesses. Total assessed value is more than $1.3 billion and 2014-2015 revenues from property taxation are projected at $12.7 million.
