Fire crews knock down fire in Glenmore

KELOWNA – Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire on Cosens Court in Glenmore this afternoon.

It was originally called in as a garage fire at 284 Cosens Court but the home itself was involved by the time fire crews arrived.

According to Platoon Captain Steve Wallick, the fire started near the back side of the house but it is not yet clear if it originated inside or outside. Damage to the home is extensive and the two residents are in the care of Emergency Social Services.

The fire is not considered suspicious at this time but the investigation is still in the early stages.

The house is insured. There were no injuries.
