Greater Vernon Recreation Services offer springtime Park and Play

Greater Vernon Recreation Services is inviting kids and parents to join them for Park & Play in local Vernon parks for free activities and games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from April 7 to June 18.

Park & Play takes place in Polson Park near the playground on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7 pm. On Thursday evenings, the action starts at Lakeview Park (3001 18 St) from 5-6:30 pm. Look for white flags that will be set up to mark where the activities are taking place.

Some of the activities include games like bean bag toss, tug-o-war and potato-sack races. There will also be play equipment such as soccer balls, Frisbees, hula-hoops and bocce balls.

Funding for Park & Play was provided by the RBC Learn To Play Project.
