Kamloops woman arrested for fraudulent, botched cosmetic procedures

A woman was arrested in Kamloops yesterday for administering suspected fraudulent cosmetic procedures.

Kamloops RCMP arrested her at her North Shore home where the procedures took place and searched the residence yesterday, Aug. 18, according to an RCMP news release.

"Police were made aware of the allegations earlier this month and since then, investigators have spoken to several people who have reported receiving botched procedures," Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.

She was released from custody with conditions. No charges have been laid yet.

Police received a "series" of complaints about the botched procedures.

"We believe there may be more people with information who have not yet come forward, and encourage them to do so to help further the investigation," Evelyn said.

Anyone with information can contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
