VERNON – Beginning the week of April 21 and continuing into the fall of 2014, Pleasant Valley Road construction from 41 Ave to 48 Ave will commence, including road reconstruction, new water main, replacement of storm and sanitary sewer piping, and new sidewalk. Work will progress in two phases: Phase I on 41 Avenue to 16 Street is planned to start on Monday, April 21, and will take approximately 12 weeks to complete; Phase II, from 16 St to 48 Ave, will last approximately eight weeks. The active construction area on Pleasant Valley Road will be closed to through-traffic but open to local residents and business traffic. Detours will be in effect for the duration of construction.
The contractor for the Pleasant Valley Road project is R355 Enterprise Ltd, the engineer is Monaghan Engineering and City of Vernon contact is Greg Thompson.
