Vernon motel could be yours for just over $1M

VERNON – A downtown motel familiar to most Vernon residents is up for sale.

The Green Valley Motel on Highway 97 across from Polson Park is on the market for $1,195,000.

Built in 1965, the motel features 27 units currently rented out by the month. A description of the listing suggests it has lots of potential: “The C5 commercial zoning allows for the property to be used to for the development of community commercial centres including government agencies, financial services, hotels and motels, and many more.”

The property is listed by The Vassberg Team.

“Those who stay at the motel can take advantage of the beautiful park across the street, a creek running behind the property and access to downtown Vernon within walking distance,” reads the description on the real estate agency's website.

  1. that make the place look bad…

  2. yeah sure, I met a lot of decent people that live there, it’s the people that don’t live there, that come to hang out, or just cause trouble.

  3. I hope for that price the pimps, hookers, drug dealers/users are included…..as well as a pass from the local RCMP to continue all those activities like the last owner or you will never see that money again!

It should be called “Death Valley” :The place is a cesspool. The RCMP love it because whenever they need to find the culprit for a crime, they just go there. One stop shopping :)

  5. Patrick Johnston

It is the centre of crime now. I’m sure a close look would tell the tale, or ask any Vernon RCMP. Needs to be demolished.

  6. Sure does look like a very good place to build a shelter that would house all of the people who need it. One million dollars spread out among Greater Vernon residents is not a very big deal. The time and place is now!
