RCMP: Anglemont deaths ruled murder-suicide

A homicide investigation into the death of two people at an Anglemont residence last week has come to a close and been deemed a murder-suicide.

Police were called to the scene at about 4:40 p.m. on April 30 about 45 minutes east of Chase to find a 45-year-old woman and 15-year-old boy dead.

RCMP North District media relations spokesperson, Cst. Lesley Smith, said RCMP forensic specialists were used.

"Police were able to confirm this unfortunate outcome," said Smith in a press release.

Police are not releasing the names of the deceased at request of family members.
