Kamloops RCMP investigate two weekend incidents involving knives

A woman was robbed at knifepoint in downtown Kamloops on Saturday night.

Police were called around 8:40 p.m. to Lansdowne Street where she was robbed near a local business, according to Kamloops RCMP.

Police offered few details, including an accurate location of the robbery, a description of the suspect or what the suspect managed to take.

Police did say the investigation is ongoing and a suspect wasn't located.

The next morning, police responded to the 1000-block of Halston Avenue, where someone was chased by a man with a knife.

Multiple officers responded around 8 a.m., Oct. 23, according to the release.

A suspect was arrested without issue while exiting an apartment shortly after police arrived.

He was released on conditions and a future court date. Charges haven't yet been laid.
