One of the first things billionaire Elon Musk said when he took over Twitter was say comedy and free speech is back on the platform.

Then people started changing their names and Twitter handles to Elon Musk.

Twitter quickly suspended those accounts.

"So it's not funny now?" said The Daily Show host Trevor Noah.

"What's happening with Elon Musk is a wonderful microcosm to show you how much or how quickly people will abandon things they say as a principal when things aren't going their way," he said.
