Happy tears as our special girl goes to her forever home
PENTICTON – Carbon, a 6-year-old Standard Schnauzer was surrendered to the South Okanagan Branch back in February was need of essential knee surgery.
We did receive a donation towards this very expensive surgery but the team at Rose Valley Veterinary Hospital stepped up once again to donate their surgical time for this procedure, our special thanks to both Dr Oz's for their amazing ongoing care of this sweet girl.
After surgery Carbon went into foster care with two of our most valued foster parents, Linda and Martin who took amazing care of her post op for many weeks, and were very tempted to keep her.
Being such a popular breed, it took little time to receive an amazing application to adopt her into her forever home.
Terry and Naomi from out of town came to take her home. We are all so delighted and happy to see Carbon (soon to be known as Heidi) go to this wonderful caring home. One of the nicest natured dogs, who underwent such a huge surgery has come out smiling, or as Schnauzers do, talking.
Thank you to everyone for making this such a happy and successful story.

Great story Linda, but you being such a people’s and pet angel, no surprise you helped this dog. I am sure it was hard to give her up. You are a special person and a pillar of our community and the organization in which is one of your passions. Proud to know you.
