TORONTO – Canadian linebacker Thomas Miles signed a contract extension through the 2017 season with the Toronto Argonauts on Thursday.

EDMONTON – The Edmonton Eskimos have locked up two big pieces of their Grey Cup-winning team.
VANCOUVER – The B.C. Lions have signed Canadian defensive lineman David Menard to an extension through the 2017 season.
MONTREAL – Noel Thorpe will stay on as defensive co-ordinator and assistant head coach of the Montreal Alouettes.

VANCOUVER – The B.C. Lions have re-signed veteran defensive back Eric Fraser to a contract extension through 2017, the club announced Friday.
MONTREAL – Noel Thorpe’s reported resignation as defensive co-ordinator of the Montreal Alouettes was declared invalid Thursday by the Canadian Football League.

MONTREAL – The Canadian Football League placed a moratorium on the movement of coaches between teams on Wednesday after reports that Montreal Alouettes defensive co-ordinator Noel Thorpe agreed to join the Edmonton Eskimos.

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Redblacks signed general manager Marcel Desjardins and head coach Rick Campbell to multi-year contract extensions on Wednesday.
REGINA – Saskatchewan Roughriders general manager and head coach Chris Jones rounded out his coaching staff Wednesday.

EDMONTON – When Jason Maas was offered the position of head coach of the Grey Cup champion Edmonton Eskimos there was no hesitation whatsoever before he said yes.

TORONTO – The B.C. Lions, Edmonton Eskimos and Hamilton Tiger-Cats led all teams Wednesday with five selections apiece to the CFL all-star team roster.

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts locked up defensive end Ricky Foley to a long-term contract Wednesday by signing the Canadian through the 2018 season.

WINNIPEG – Paul LaPolice wore a Blue Bombers shirt and an air of confidence as he was officially introduced Tuesday as the team’s new offensive co-ordinator.
