
Refugee welcome dinner to fundraise for Kamloops newcomers
KAMLOOPS – Several Syrian refugees have settled in Kamloops and a fundraiser dinner is scheduled to welcome them to the local community.
On Saturday, April 2 the Catholic OLPH Parish Centre will host a dinner sponsored by the Kamloops Islamic Society.
Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and the menu includes butter chicken, naan, samosa, chicken pasta, rice, salads and desserts.
Tickets to the event are $35. Children under 10 can enter for free. Today, March 25, is the last day of ticket sales.

The centre where the dinner will take place is located at 635 Tranquille Road by the Holiday Inn Express on the North Shore.
