Man in hospital after two motorcycles collide in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – A man was been rushed to hospital after two motorcycles collided on Westsyde Road in Kamloops this morning.

RCMP say officers were called to the motorcycle crash on Westside Road near Noble Lake Road at about 9:47 a.m., April 3.

Both bikes were travelling northbound when the trailing motorcycle slid into the back of the lead motorcycle, according to a RCMP media release.

Police say the bikes and their riders ended up in the ditch with one of the motorcycles on top of one of the riders.

A 63-year-old man was taken to Royal Inland Hospital by air ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators have ruled out speed and alcohol as factors in the crash.
