Looking for a forever home; Vernon SPCA pet of the week

VERNON –  Zac is a handsome ball of energy who was returned to us because he does not care for being left alone. He's approximately four years and four months old.

Zac is a high energy border collie who needs a job to do. It's very important that he receives lots of mental and physical stimulation to keep him happy. Zac is brilliant and catches on to new things quickly. He already knows lots of tricks and commands such as sit, lay down, here, heel and is learning play dead.

Zac tends to be anxious when his environment changes and will require owners who are committed to providing a calm and consistent routine in a low stress setting. New guardians will need to practice leaving him alone slowly so he isn't overwhelmed.

He seems to enjoy other dogs and would likely do well in a home with another easy going dog.

Zac's Animal ID is 381744.

Visit the Vernon Branch webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees, and hours of operation.
