Looking for a forever home; Vernon SPCA pet of the week

VERNON – Cheif the coonhound is looking for a new home.

Around a year and a half old, the young dog is a rambunctious one. He's very affectionate, though when he gets overexcited he does jump up on people. He also doesn't know his strength and needs some training while on a leash.

As a coonhound he does like to howl a bit, and gets excited by sirens. He also is a fan of, and gets distracted by, scents.

He'd make a great companion for anyone looking for a big drooling friend and is willing to put in some time training him.

Cheif's Animal ID is 433925

Visit the Vernon Branch webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees, and hours of operation.
