Crashes prompt RCMP warning

Kelowna RCMP is warning drivers to slow down and take it easy after two accidents this morning.
One of the accidents was a roll-over on Hwy 97C.
"Both were single vehicle crashes and when that happens, it's most likely that road conditions and speed are factors," says Const. Kris Clark. "The posted speed limit is for ideal conditions and that's just not the case right now."
Some roads are laden with ice and compact snow, says Const. Clark and motorists need to respect road conditions to avoid injury.
The DriveBC.ca website concurs with the RCMP warning, pointing out unstable road conditions around Peachland, Coldstream, Hwy 33 past Black Mountain and north of Vernon along Hwy 97.
Further details regarding the accidents are not available at this time.
