A fun-filled day of traditional performances and making mooncakes was held at Grizzli Winery in West Kelowna. Put on by the OCCA Communities Association, the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the oldest and most popular traditions in Chinese culture. Guests had the opportunity to try making mooncakes from scratch and experience some cultural dances, including a Lion and Dragon dance. Over 1000 people came out over the course of the day and got to see firsthand the colourful arrangements of lanterns and see what the festival was all about.
It was the third year of the festival being held by the OCCA Communities Association, and the event was a great success.
