VERNON – A Vernon service club raised a record-breaking $267,000 at its annual auction event last night.
The Kalamalka Rotary Club’s 33rd annual Dream Auction at the Vernon Lodge last night, Nov. 18, raised $267,000.
Businesses donated 346 items to be auctioned off, according to the group's website, everything from vacation getaway to appliances and a chef prepared, private 10-course Italian dining experience.
Kal Rotary will use the money raised for community and international projects.
