Break and enter leads police to grow-op

KELOWNA – Two Llyodminster men and one local resident face potential charges after a break and enter Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Kelglen Crescent at 12 p.m. after someone reported seeing two men kick in the door of a residence before fleeing in a white Ford F150 truck.

Police were able to track down the vehicle near Harvey Avenue and Underhill Street and arrested the suspects, a 22-year-old and 25-year-old from Lloydminster. The two men are facing charges of breaking and entering with intent.

When police went to check if anyone was injured in the targetted residence they found a marijuana grow-op in one of the bedrooms. A 55-year-old Kelowna man is now facing a potential charge of production of a controlled substance.

No one was injured and all three men are due to appear in court.
