WILD WEDNESDAY: Listen to the sounds of the B.C. Ruffed Grouse drumming

Right now it's mating season for B.C.'s Ruffed Grouse and the males have a unique way of grabbing the attention of females.

They put on a display with their tail and neck feathers while standing on a log, flapping their wings rapidly until they make a 'drumming' sound.

Females are able to lay up to 14 eggs and their nests are usually at the base of a tree.
