On Jan. 13 Lumby RCMP responded to a rural break and enter at a home in the 300 block of Albers Rd.
Electronics, including iPads, laptops and cameras, as well as jewelry, were stolen.
Police have been following up on several leads. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers or the Lumby RCMP.
Cpl. Henry Proce says stolen property does sometimes find its way back to owners.
"We had success in locating property stolen in Lumby and ending up in various pawn shops in Vernon," Proce said. "In this case a stolen ring was located, (and) police are following up on the suspect who pawned it."
"Suspects in need of quick cash often pawn items, then use the money to buy drugs."
An RCMP driven pawn shop program is in effect through the community policing office, and victims of theft are encouraged to visit local shops to see if they recognize any items.
