BREAKING: B.C. orders restaurants to close dining rooms; take-out allowed
The B.C. government has ordered the closure of all restaurants in the province and is allowing them to only provide take-out.
Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry made the announcement today, March 20.
The order tightens the rules after bars and clubs were ordered to close March 17.
Henry announced the extra steps, after confirming another 77 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C. bringing the total number to 348.
The majority of the cases are in the Lower Mainland, while 19 cases have been recorded within the Interior Health region, which is seven more than yesterday.
