A new chapter for Enderby: The Frayed Page Bookstore opens its doors

Enderby just got its own bookstore, ensuring locals don’t have to make the drive to Salmon Arm or Vernon to purchase books for their reading fix.
The grand opening of The Frayed Page provided a cozy atmosphere and respite from the rain as readers around the Okanagan came to support this small, locally owned business.
Lindsay Fray has almost seven years of experience as Enderby Library’s Assistant Community Librarian and publishes her own novels under the name L.E. Wagensveld. To combine her love of books and her years of expertise in the industry, she’s opened The Frayed Page as an independently owned bookstore to connect local and big-name authors with readers in the North and Central Okanagan.

A local author even appeared at their grand opening for a signing. Naomi Tiessen’s debut novel, The Hunt, blends mermaid mythos into a romantic tale.
Future events guests can expect within the walls of The Frayed Page include book clubs, signings, and more. Their shelves include new and used books, both indie and traditionally published, and book-themed merchandise perfect to grab for the reader in your life before the holidays.
If you’ve been to Enderby Lit-Con, you may already know Lindsay. She’s one part of the powerful duo who hosts the event each year, which is an exciting merger of the Scholastic Book Fair and a craft market. Her event co-host, Océane Pwish, was also in attendance at the grand opening.
We’re excited to see what the next chapter of the Enderby Lit-Con and The Frayed Page look like next year, after the event and store have connected to readers across the Okanagan.

If you’re an author, make sure to reach out to Lindsay and Océane to potentially have your book shelved in-store or host your own booth at the 2026 Enderby Lit-Con.
