McRobber denied cash at local restaurant, gas station
By InfoTel News staff
Kelowna Mounties need information on a man who attempted to rob a gas station and nearby McDonald's restaurant early Monday morning.
RCMP Staff Sgt John Jordan says the man wore a balaclava and brandished a knife at a Shell Gas station and demanded cash around 6:30 a.m. Nov. 12. Police say the 5'7" white man is about 140 pounds. He was wearing a black ski coat, dark hoody and ball cap. When he got nothing from the gas station, he went next door to the McDonalds and again demanded money from an employee while presenting the knife.
Again, the subject fled empty-handed, likely on a bicycle.
Extensive patrols were made in the area, however the subject was not located. Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP.
