Vancouver police looking for high-risk sex offender who left halfway house
VANCOUVER – The police in Vancouver are looking for a man they describe as a high-risk sex offender who failed to return to his halfway house.
A news release says 44-year-old Gerald Richard McLean has been living in a halfway house after completing a two-year sentence for sexually assaulting a young child.
McLean also has a previous conviction for sexually assaulting a teen girl.
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for McLean’s arrest.
Police say McLean is considered a high risk to re-offend.
