Power out for thousands in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA – The lights went out for over 2,700 B.C. Hydro customers in West Kelowna Sunday afternoon.

The electricity stopped flowing at about 1:25 p.m.

The company is hoping to have the power restored by 6 p.m.

There’s no word on what knocked out the electricity.

Hydro says the cause is under investigation.

The area covered by the outage is south west of Westside Road, north of Boucherie Road and East of Highway 97.
