Music of Motown coming to Peachfest 2016
PENTICTON – Penticton’s Peachfest will feature the sounds of Motown during the final night of festivities at this year’s festival.
The R&B Icons will grace the stage at Okanagan Lake Park on Sunday, Aug. 7, with a 12-piece group featuring lead singers Mike Henry and Jeanette O’Keefe, who are international performers. The group features singers, musicians and dancers and will take fans back to the days of Motown.
The R&B Icons play list includes tunes by Motown greats Stevie Wonder, Earth, Wind and Fire, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, Tina Turner, Diana Ross and Ray Charles.
The event is a world class show with choreography, costumes and fantastic vocals, says Peach Festival Entertainment Director Bill Kolter.
Robyn and Ryleigh will open for the R & B Icons, a sister duo from Langley who blend modern pop music with the country elements of acoustic instruments.
