Family reunited with Yorkie believed dognapped a year ago

SMYRNA, Tenn. – A 13-year-old Yorkie named Titus has been reunited with his Tennessee family after reportedly being dognapped just over a year ago.

Owner Scott Demonbreun tells The Daily News Journal of Murfreesboro that Titus vanished last year and a neighbour told him the dog had been snatched by an unknown woman.

Months dragged on without word on Titus and the family began to believe he was dead. But then a man named Scott Giles called the family Monday and said the microchipped Titus had wandered into his garage in Lebanon, about 30 miles (48 kilometres)from the Demonbreun’s home in Smyrna.

Titus was covered in mud, fleas and matted fur and was missing a paw that appeared to have been broken off at the joint. The family is now raising money Titus’ medical costs.
