‘Uncooperative’ Kamloops drug dealer has drugs seized, car impounded

Kamloops RCMP turned up cash and drugs after pulling over a vehicle with metal dragging from its bumper last night.

An officer spotted the car around 2:50 a.m. yesterday, Feb. 2, and pulled it over near Selkirk Avenue and 12 Street.

The driver was uncooperative when asked for his license and refused to follow instructions, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.

He was arrested for obstruction before police found he was already prohibited from driving.

The officer then searched the car finding 52 grams of fentanyl, meth, crack and unidentified pills.

There was also an unspecified amount of cash and paraphernalia associated to drug trafficking, police said.

Kamloops RCMP impounded the car but released the driver.

Police may recommend charges to Crown prosecutors.
