"Active aurora possible with slight chance of isolated minor auroral substorms and favourable conditions for major aurora activity," the forecast says.
Last month, on the evening of Feb. 26, the aurora made an extraordinarily bright appearance that was observable from the naked eye throughout the B.C. Interior.
To be able to appreciate the aurora, the weather also has to co-operate.
In Kamloops, Environment Canada is forecasting skies will be mainly cloudy in Kamloops tonight, cloudy tomorrow night, March 24, and cloudy periods on March 25. In Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton, there is a chance of showers tonight and a chance of rain showers or flurries the following two nights.
