First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Down 26 cents, or 3.35 per cent, to $7.51 on seven million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Unchanged at $1.70 on 5.7 million shares.

Penn West Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:PWT). Oil and gas. Unchanged at $1.49 on 4.6 million shares.

Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Miner. Up 86 cents, or 8.87 per cent, to $10.56 on 4.5 million shares.

Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. (TSX:ATD.B). Convenience stores. Down $1.43, or 2.33 per cent, to $59.82 on 1.6 million shares. Couche-Tard reassured investors that the sudden resignation of its chief financial officer doesn’t signal a financial problem or disagreement within the convenience store and fuelling station operator.

Element Financial Corp. (TSX:EFN). Financial Services. Up three cents, or 0.16 per cent, to $18.76 on 2.3 million shares. Element is putting some of its Canadian non-core operations up for sale as it focuses increasingly on the United States and managing its clients’ fleets of cars and trucks. The Toronto-based company owns or manages about 1.2 million vehicles in several countries, including 580,000 acquired when it bought GE Fleet — formerly part of General Electric — in an $8.6-billion deal that closed at the end of September.
