Vancouver police searching for suspect in alleged sexual assault

VANCOUBER, B.C. – Vancouver police are looking for a man who is accused of groping a 12-year-old girl Friday night.

Police say three girls left a community centre in the city’s West End shortly before 9 p.m.

They say the girls noticed a man outside staring at them.

The girls told police they saw the man again as they continued their walk, and on this second encounter, they said he ran up and grabbed one of them.

Police say the man fled on foot and although the victim was shaken by the incident, she was not physically injured.

Police are searching for the suspect who they describe as white with a fair complexion, some facial hair and was wearing grey clothing, a dark hat and had a black backpack.
