Clarification: New Laws story

TRENTON, N.J. – In stories Dec. 30 and Jan. 1, The Associated Press reported that Illinois made it a misdemeanour to leave pets outside during extreme weather. The story should have specified that it is illegal only in cases where the cat or dog left in extreme heat or cold dies or is injured.
