B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down 10 cents, or 6.62 per cent, to $1.41 on 11 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Down 10 cents, or 1.71 per cent, to $5.75 on 9.6 million shares.

Trevali Mining Corp. (TSX:TV). Miner. Down 7.5 cents, or 17.86 per cent, to 34.5 cents on 9.1 million shares.

Twin Butte Energy Ltd. (TSX:TBE). Oil and gas. Up three cents, or 23.08 per cent, to 16 cents on nine million shares.

Pacific Exploration & Production Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Up 18 cents, or 13.53 per cent, to $1.51 on 8.6 million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down 10 cents, or 2.53 per cent, to $3.86 on 8.5 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX:BNS). Bank. Up $3.17, or 5.79 per cent, to $57.93 on 4.2 million shares. The bank reported quarterly net income of $1.81 billion, up five per cent from the $1.73 billion it reported during the same period last year, as earnings from both its Canadian and international banking operations grew. The earnings amounted to $1.43 per diluted share, up from $1.35 per share a year ago, while revenue grew to $6.37 billion from $5.86 billion.
