Former NHL head coach Lorne Molleken fired by WHL’s Vancouver Giants

VANCOUVER – Lorne Molleken was fired Friday as head coach of the WHL’s Vancouver Giants.

Molleken, the former head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks, took over behind the Giants’ bench to start the 2015-’16 season and compiled a 23-38-5-4 record.

Assistant coach Tyler Kuntz will serve as interim head coach.
