KELOWNA – Kelowna is the eighth most expensive market in Canada when it comes to renting a one bedroom apartment, according to a report.

The rental app PadMapper says in a report the median rent for a one bedroom unit in Kelowna is $1,000, down two per cent since February.

The median price for a two bedroom unit dropped by 1.4 per cent to $1,450, the report says.

The report analyzed hundreds of thousands of listings in February in order to determine rent prices across the 25 largest Canadian cities.

Vancouver ranks number one for having the most expensive rental market in the country, with the median price of a one bedroom apartment at $1,900 and $3,130 for a two bedroom.
