B.C. Conservatives add nine more hopefuls to the Tory election slate

LANGLEY, B.C. – The B.C. Conservative party has introduced nine new candidates in ridings around the province.

Leader John Cummins says the quality of candidates is incredible and he’s excited to offer an alternative to what he calls the tax-and-spend Liberals and New Democrats.

New candidates were officially nominated Thursday in ridings including Kamloops-North Thompson and Penticton.

Nominations were also completed in three Surrey-area ridings, and one each in Vancouver, West Vancouver, Port Moody and Richmond.

The B.C. Conservative’s website now shows the party is running 55 candidates across the province’s 85 ridings.

Meanwhile, Cummins continues campaigning today in his Langley riding, meeting with the Langley Teachers’ Association and attending an event with North Delta Conservative candidate Tinku Parmar.
