MERRITT, B.C. – RCMP in Merritt, B.C., admit they fear the worst as members spent the night searching Nicola Lake, about 300 kilometres northeast of Vancouver.
Few details have been released, but Mounties are looking for two teenagers from the Lower Mainland.
The vehicle belonging to the pair has been found at the Nicola Bay RV park, on the shores of Nicola Lake, just east of Merritt.
A canoe associated with the vehicle is missing and the teens did not return to their Langley homes, as scheduled, on Sunday.
Police and search and rescue teams remain at the Lake.
RCMP expect to issue a statement soon. (CHNL)
