NEW YORK, N.Y. – Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving “The View” showing no hard feelings toward her colleagues, even when she’s sparred with them politically.
After a decade on ABC’s daytime talk show, Hasselbeck’s last day was Wednesday. It came less than 24 hours after it was announced that she will join Fox News Channel and the “Fox & Friends” morning show in September.
She walked onto the ABC stage with show creator Barbara Walters’ arm around her waist. Hasselbeck said she felt like she earned a master’s in communications and journalism through working with Walters, who is retiring next year.
Hasselbeck said she even liked it when her frequent political debate partner, Joy Behar, made her laugh at a joke, in her words, “even when I didn’t want to.”
